Baked Oatmeal...

Apple Baked Oatmeal

Basic recipe...You can add any fruit or nuts, sugars...honey...seasonings, you wish!  Make it your own!  I added apple and cinnamon.  Or, swirl some strawberry jam or apricot jam into the mixture before baking!  You can't lose.  It's all good.

After it's baked, add to your bowl, milk...or cream or just eat right out of the oven!

You can cut into blocks and freeze for quick and easy heat up in the microwave or even the stove-top (just don't let it burn!)

Stores up to 6 months.

Ingredients

  • 10 eggs

  • 2   1/2 cups milk

  • 2 cups apple sauce

  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 4 cups of oats

  • 2 cups of chopped apples

Topping

  • 1/4 cup butter (salted)

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  (176* C )

  2. In a 9 by 13 glass baking dish, mix all the ingredients together except the butter.

  3. Divide butter evenly over the top and sprinkle with brown sugar.

  4. Bake for 35-45 min or until golden on the top and firm to the touch— Do Not over cook!

So, until next time, Enjoy!

Came by to see what other yummies you're making. I did a baked oatmeal I wanna say was with blueberries. Now that I think of it, it was part pancake, part oatmeal ... I think. I'm not 100% sure.
