Crystal's Strawberry Cream Birthday Cake!

Happy Birthday Sweetie!
Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I've posted a recipe here but I've not had a really Earth shattering recipe to post lately...Not until now! This cake came about from my Dad's shopping habit!Hahaa...Every birthday, Daddy would go to HEB grocery store and purchase one of these babies for for our birthday cake! We love them...Last week, I went to HEB to continue the tradition for Crystal's birthday...They were OUT of them!!! OhNO!!! Well! That got me to thinking. Exactly what ingredients went into the making of it?

One Duncan Hines WHITE cake mix

One tub of WHIPPED Cream Cheese Frosting

One Fourth Cup strawberry preserves

Two Cups Vanilla Pudding (any kind will do)

One tub Cool Whip

Strawberries

Well, long story short, I figured it out...and it IS good! SO! If you want one for yourselves, here's the recipe I came up with...Ready? Lets Go!

I used two heart shaped cake pans but you can use the rounds if you want to.

You'll need both of the above ingredients...

I used a Duncan Hines WHITE cake mix...NOT the French Vanilla!!! Bake as per instructed on the box.

Cut EACH layer in half...You'll end up with four layers. On top of each layer, you spread (thinly) some cream cheese frosting...Strawberry Preserves and then some Vanilla Pudding! Repeat on all THREE layers! Put the TOP layer off to the side... You can also place thinly sliced strawberries on top of each layer.

These strawberries were blunt cut on the tops then sliced down the middle for the decoration all around the cake.

Put the preserves in a bowl for easier handling...

Do the same with the Vanilla Pudding....

Get going! Doesn't take long at all!

Whipped cream cheese frosting first...

Preserves are next.....Then the pudding! Put all the layers together and Walaaaa! NOW! The FROSTING is Whipped Cream! Nothing added to it! I used Cool Whip Extra Creamy. One tub did the trick! Add your decorative strawberries and you're done! REFRIGERATE!!!

That's it! Hope you enjoy it! We do!
