Zebra Cake!
Well, I Hope you're ready for some Serious Chocolate! This recipe was given to me by my SIL Debbie, over 35 years ago. It has been a staple in our household ever since! It's just Not a holiday without it...So are you ready to go? It's TOO simple and So good! Here's what you'll need:
1/2 cup butter OR margarine
1 cup Cool Whip
1Cup flour
1 large box instant chocolate pudding
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 large box instant vanilla pudding
1 cup chopped pecans
3 cups milk
8 ozs softened cream cheese
1 large container Cool Whip
1 cup powdered sugar
Melt the butter OR margarine. Add the flour, vanilla and pecans. Press into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Pop into a 350, preheated, oven for 15 or 20 minutes...Light brown is what you want!
Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar and the 1 cup of Cool Whip together in a bowl. When COOLED, spread this mixture over the crust.
Beat the puddings (put both chocolate AND vanilla in the same bowl) with the 3 cups of milk...let it thicken. Now, spread the pudding over the cream cheese...Top it off with the Cool Whip! Decorate it with extra pecans...OR...use Anything you like! In the pictures below, I used strawberries and powdered chocolate. I Usually use pecans but this one batch went to Crystals beau, Tim, who is a chocoholic....hahaa....
So there you have it!! Easy! If you Want to get labor intensive, you can use Real cream instead of Cool Whip....Just takes longer...

Just have Fun with it!
