Grilled Chicken and Blackeyed Peas with Cornbread

Blogger has been giving me absolute FITS!!! I don't know What's wrong but I hope you can understand the instructions to this meal! It Really is simple though...

Throw your fresh blackeyes into a pot with enough water to cover and cook for about 45min to an hour.

Season the chicken with Garlic and Herb seasoning...Or What Ever You like!
Place the pieces onto the hot grill!

Check the chicken....If it's done, after about 45 minutes, pull them off the grill.

Ready to make the Cornbread? One egg, 1/4 cup milk and whatever Packaged cornbread mix you have on hand!! Mix well.

Pour the batter into a greased pie plate...and bake according to the package's instructions! LOL...Yes, I Cheated!!

Is it Ready?

Pull the cornbread out of the oven and cut it into serving sizes.

Grilled Chicken, hot off the coals!

And there you have it! Blackeyed Peas, Grilled chicken and Cornbread...Happy Grilling!

I love blackeyed peas, but I usually only cook them on New Year's Day (for luck). I should make them other times, but seem to always make pinto beans or Great Northern white beans instead.

Looks very yummy!

Wow that looks yummy. I always make "pasta e fagioli" (pasta and red beans) and Italian dish It is delicious too. The cornbread I make is sweet, for breakfast or dinner.
