Sweetie Pie Pork Chops

I first made this dish for my Hubby right after we returned from our honeymoon. We lived in a two bedroom apartment and Hubby was earning $145.00 a week...gross, not net. Our apartment cost $85.00 a month, all bills paid and the car was $82.50 a month...Nice! But, that was expensive to us in those days and we made "do". My Mother gave me this recipe and called it, Laraping...lol...Hope you think so to...

This is ALL you'll need for this dish! Two nice size butterfly pork chops...brown sugar...yellow prepared mustard.

Now, This step is Strictly Up To You!!! Me? I put 1/2 Cup brown sugar and 1/4 yellow prepared mustard into the pot. ALWAYS Taste It!!! Too sweet? Add more mustard. Too much mustard? Add more sugar! Now, Turn on the heat!

Bring it to a boil....

Alright! This stuff is Ready! Take it off the heat and let it cool a bit. After it has had time to cool off, I grab a spoon (wooden) and start whipping it...It turns into a lighter, more fluffy sauce, which will then stay ON the hot chop instead of dribbling off onto the pan!

Pop the pork chops into a 325degree oven for about 30 minutes, till the pork is cooked. No...I did Not say "goose is cooked!" We'll save that for another day!!LOL...

These are ready for the sauce! Grab it and lets start spreading!

When you've got all the mustard and brown sugar sauce spread, they're ready for the broiler! See that sauce? Looks like peanut butter doesn't it!

Look at those chops sizzle and bubble!! Leave them under the broiler until they are as brown as You like! Maybe a couple of minutes under that high heat! You HAVE to WATCH them Very closely at this point! Do Not Walk Away from them!! That sauce has Sugar in it folks! It burns Quick!!

Pull them out of the oven and plate them!

That's all it takes folks! Sweet and spicy pork chops! Another Quick meal! Serve them with the side of your choice. Enjoy!!

It is not easy to find what to have for dinner every day. And I don't like to make only for myself.
Tomorrow my oldest brother and his wife come to visit me, I look forward to that.
